  Do not let the old fashioned traditional fishing town pub exterior fool you. The Tolcarne Inn does excellent food. The menu changes daily and is heavily skewed to using the best Cornish landed fish that the nearby harbour can offer. Friendly service back up very a accomplished kitchen team. One to go back to again and again.

  One of my all time favourite places to dine. The menu is chalked up daily, and is reassuringly short. The fish is so fresh, as the pub is - quite literally - throwing distance from the harbour and fish market. The service is personal, welcoming and low key. I really dislike being made to feel inferior by waiting staff, when dining out: this is NOT the case here. The staff are very happy to describe the taste / style / texture of the slightly more unusual fish, if you are uncertain about the choices. The Tolcarne Inn provides top quality dining, in an intimate, unfussy and unpretentious setting.

  Snug hidden away pub, with excellent food and reasonably priced wine. Dog friendly. Must book, as even mid week it's pretty busy. Parking can be tight - but on street parking is free if you can find a spot.
